Congratulations to Mr Thomas E. Morris (Funeral Director at Baglan Funeral Home) who has been accepted as a Member of the British Institute of Embalmers.

Tom has completed his theory and practical examinations having finished an intensive period of study which has seen him attend training in Bristol for two days a week for the majority of 2023.

The British Institute of Embalmers was founded in 1927 by a group of 15 Funeral Directors who recognised the need for a separate organisation for the professional embalmer.

Gareth and Christine Jenkins (co-owners of Baglan Funeral Home) said “As funeral directors delivering over 80 years of service to the community we are extremely proud of Tom for his commitment and dedication. He has completed this technically demanding course and has passed at such a high level.”.

Craig Perfect (fellow co-owner) commented further “We are pleased to have these professional services fully in-house. We took this step as an investment both for Tom and the funeral home and look forward to the continued development of the business“.

Tom added “ Having worked at Baglan Funeral Home for over 13  years,  I am very pleased that we continue to build our professional standard for the benefit of the families we support.
